A children's park designed with — and for — its neighbourhood: play zones, sensory paths and shaded brick edges around a full-grown gulmohar, kept as the park's centrepiece.

Designed under UNOPS Cities4Women with the neighbourhood at the table, Samjhana Baal Udhaan turns an open plot in Tilottama into a children’s park that works for caregivers too — seats facing the play, shade over the waiting, and a loop that keeps every zone in sight.

The existing gulmohar was kept: its canopy sets the centre of the plan, with brick planter-seats wrapping the trunk. Colour is spent where children move — play equipment and tactile paving — and withheld where they rest.
